Comedian Russell Brand released on bail after incident with photographer at airport


Russell Brand was arrested at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Friday after an alleged altercation with a photographer.

The comedian was accompanying fiancée Katy Perry - who was jetting
to Las Vegas for her hen do with Rihanna - when the incident occured.

'About 1.50pm today, Los Angeles Airport Police responded to Terminal 5
to a report of a battery involving a celebrity and a commercial
photographer,' states LA Airport Police spokesman Belinda Nettles. 

Katy, 25, alleges on Twitter that the paparazzo tried to take an inappropriate shot and Russell defended her.

She Tweeted: 'If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my
dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me. #standbyyourman
#don't f*** with the Brands.'

Russell, 35, was released on $20,000 (£12,800) bail. His spokespeople have not yet made any comment about the incident.
